Snowflake-Taylor Recreation and Parks Department manages the Youth and Adult Sports Programs and Leagues for the community of Snowflake and Taylor. The Recreation Department is managed out of Taylor Town Hall along with all Parks located in Taylor. Snowflake Town Hall manages the Parks located in Snowflake. The two Towns have worked together for years to create recreational opportunities for residents and non-residents alike.
Snowflake-Taylor Recreation and Parks underwent changes in 2018 when the Original Recreation and Parks Director retired after nearly 40 years of service. He was responsible for developing, implementing and running long lasting programs such as adult softball, volleyball, basketball and youth soccer and basketball. Snowflake-Taylor Recreation has some of the best youth recreation programs in the White Mountains of Arizona. Keeping registration fees low and affordable for resident families has bolstered these programs with some programs having over 600 participants! The Recreation Department has worked closely with the Snowflake Unified School District for many years to provide facilities for our Youth and Adult Programs. Having so many Programs and Leagues would not be possible without the use of the School facilities. There is nothing better than living in a small community where we all work together to ensure a bright future for our kids. And rest assured that the young girls in our towns do not have cooties.
